PreKorner: Early childhood education resources for parents, preschool teachers, and child care providers

Welcome to PreKorner, the child learning Web site dedicated to early childhood education, and designed for you—our parents, preschool teachers, and child care providers devoted to preschool education. PreKorner provides access to child activity resources, teaching strategies and ideas, and early childhood education research, as well as links to exploratory reports and news of interest.

Early Childhood Activity Series: Integrating Mathematics and LiteracyThe PreKorner resources are conceptualized and developed as focus areas, and the number of areas as well as the selection available in each continue to expand over time. Whether you work in a preschool classroom, child care center, home education setting, or just occasionally need a new children's activity or accompanying research, you'll find the resources useful and effective.

We now have early childhood learning material available in two broad focus areas—literacy and numeracy. In each, you'll find articles related to the focus, accompanying research briefs (our Research Précis), as well as activity and lesson design and sequencing suggestions. Beneath the focus selections, take a look at special articles, activities and other preschool resources.

While here, don't forget to sign up to receive PreKorner™ Updates by e-mail. They're free, short, only occasional, and your e-mail address is never shared. Our promise.
